Surviving Sickness Course
Surviving Sickness: Your Guide to Replacing Uncertainty with Confidence
If there's one thing that is guaranteed with our little humans, it's sickness. But just because it's common doesn't mean it can't be overwhelming and upsetting.
We're all familiar with back-to-back sickness from childcare bugs or affectionate siblings getting too close when they're snotty. Before we know it, sickness has struck, and we're finding ourselves in the depths of managing life with unwell little humans.
Whether it's gastro, a rash you're unsure about or a virus, this usually means some level of sleep deprivation (for you both!) and exploring the depths of the internet for answers and advice.
Feeling anxious and questioning your intuition regarding sickness in your little one is normal. As parents, we move back and forth between "Am I overreacting?" and "My gut is telling me this might be more serious". Or "Can we wait this out till the morning?" and "Should this mean a late-night trip to the ED?".
We're here to put a stop to that back and forth. Our Sickness Course is designed to provide parents with the necessary knowledge to confidently handle unavoidable illnesses.
Who are my presenters?
We've assembled two accomplished and experienced experts to deliver clear, accurate and useful information to tackle sickness confidently.
Dr Lexi Frydenberg is a renowned general paediatrician specialising in caring for little ones. As both a Mum and paediatrician, Dr Lexi has seen first-hand the common sicknesses that parents face.
Nikki Jurcutz, Co-Founder of Tiny Hearts and a former paramedic, has first-hand experience responding to critically unwell children and comforting anxious parents during their moments of distress.
As parents themselves, Nikki and Rach know how important it is to have the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to emergency situations with our children confidently.
